    David Foster and CD Ripper

I like David Foster but for some reason his CD's are crappy in the rip department. They either rip with lots of errors (others who have ripped experienced the same thing because my rip apparently agrees with theirs) or don't rip at all when in the secure mode. Wonder why all the errors with such a big act as David Foster?

    Are his CDs copy protected?

Doesn't say it anywhere that it is. The CD was new. I had a Jim Brickman CD... Grace I think it was on the Windham Hill label that said it was copy protected by CD Ripper performed flawlessly.

        Hey mrcd,

when has this CD been released? If it's from the early 2000'S it is very likely copyprotected. Usualy there is a small hint on the back cover.

It says 1991 on the CD and rear cover. No hints at copy-protection noted. After ripping in burst it still sounds great.

I have many of David Foster's CDs and they have all ripped without error.

Do you have a second ripping drive that you could try?

I have an LG and also an off brand both are external drives. Thus far overall performance goes to the off brand but both have not performed well on Foster CD's.

For the LG drive, you might try disabling C2 if it's enabled. I've had LG drives and, for some reason, C2 acted really crazy with them. Too many false positives.

                  How do you disable C2?

CDRipper >> Options >> Ripping Method >> Secure Settings

Un-tick C2 Error Pointer for Error Detection
