    Strange Duplicate Tracks

I have an issue which you guys might have come across and I would appreciate any comments you might have please.

I have updated the track narration to include the composers name on a couple of CD’s in a 2 CD album.

I started with CD 2 by deleting the old version from the server and emptying the server recycle bin. Then using dBpoweramp ripper I amended the track narration and path details and re ripped the CD. Low and behold everything came out as I expected with no problems.

When I repeated the process with CD 1 and I got a duplication of every track. The first track is with the new narration and the second track is with the old narration and so on throughout the album.

No matter what I do like refreshing the meta data in pBpoweramp before repeating the process I end up with duplicate tracks.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

P.S. I am using a QNAP 412 NAS running ASSET file handling software purchased from pBpoweramp.

Duplicate tracks means the files are duplicated, in that they have different filenames. Browse and see if you can locate the older files.

Checked all files on the NAS and there is only 1 set of files having 6 tracks. The NAIM receiver app shows 12 tracks and plays 12 tracks. Recycle file is empty.

      Any other suggestions please.

Remove those 6 tracks and see if you can still play?
