Can't Install DPPoweramp or Perfect Tunes

I purchased these yesterday and when I try to run the installation download file I keep getting the following error: "The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:0dda IP:02f9 OP:63 6f 72 61 74 ..". I have no problems installing the trial version of DBPoweramp. I uninstalled the trial version before installed the registered version. I am using Windows XP SP3. Please help.

Is you Windows XP 32-bit or 64-bit?

What version of dBpoweramp are you downloading/installing?

Can you try downloading again, to check you have completely downloaded the installation file?

Windows XP is 32 bit. It is the media center edition. The DBPoweramp I downloded is the version, Release 15.3. I tried downloading many times unsuccessfully.

What is the name and size of your dBpoweramp downloaded file?

I think you are on to something. By comparison the trial versions are much larger:

PerfectTUNES-Registered.exe / 17340 kB
dMC-R15.3-Ref-Trial.exe / 26,905 kB

When I initially download the files I get a down load failed error in Firefox. I then try again and it completes the retry without error.

After changing the download files location and multiple tries, I was able to get the file to download properly. Thanks for pointing out the file size discrepancy.

Sorry, I can't explain the download issue. Could be related to anti-virus/security software, could be server issues. I'm just not sure.
