MacOS version - encoder errors and no AccurateRip detection

I've just inserted a brand new CD after installing an evaluation copy of dBpoweramp. The CD gives me two issues, both of which seem to have been reported before:

    - I get error messages 'Error no encoder specified. [ParseCommandLine]' vor varying tracks (often, but not always the same ones!).
    - I get 'not in AccurateRip Database' displayed for all tracks.

Using my present standard ripper (XLD):

    - rips all tracks without problems and no errors
    - confirms AccurateRip signature for all tracks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
    Victor

    dBpoweramp R15.1 (MacOS)
    Mac OS X 10.10.3 (Yosemite)

I am having similar issues with my Mac OS X 10.9.5 MacBook Pro and the dBpoweramp Music Converter.
It won't retrieve the intelligent metadata and freezes the program. I purchased the license yesterday planning to rip 500+ CDs.

Do you have any security software which could be blocking the internet access?

I use Little Snitch, but it's set to permanently allow all connections from dBpoweramp. Also, downloading metadata and cover images works flawlessly.

Which version of dBpoweramp are you running, latest R15.1 ? Metadata retrieval freezing was an issue in earlier versions but should have been fixed in the latest.

Thanks for the feedback, this is most interesting.
What exact CD is it? [ contact peter@dbpoweramp.com if you do not wish to post some of this info on the forum ]
Do these bugs recur with other discs?
Do these bugs recur with different optical drives? in case you have other drives available for testing
Is your Matshita drive internal or external? quick search shows there are both internal and external versions of this drive model
Does the "Error no encoder specified" bug also happen if you try an older version of dBpoweramp? I'm suspecting that one of the bug fixes introduced in R15.1 is to blame for this one.

              Thanks.
