Can't rip CD's using slim external optical drive

My PC has a conventional internal slim optical drive with which I'm able to rip CD's to FLAC successfully using DbPoweramp. However, when I use a slim external USB 2.0 optical drive, the process takes only a fraction of the time and the FLAC files produced will not play. It should noted that the slim external optical drive operates normally in every other way, playing CD's, burning to DVD's etc.

Try the latest R15.3 beta, you can find in the testing section of this forum.

I did what you said and the problem has been solved. May I say that the solution was well explained and easy to implement.
