dBpowerAmp is running slowly on MacOSX 10.10.2

I downloaded the latest R1.2 for Mac. However, it keeps on spinning for half an hour to go before the track names appear on the CD Ripper window. It will rip the cd but have to wait for half an hour. Can anyone share your experience? Is there a big difference in terms of sound quality when comparing with those audio files ripped by itunes?

• What exact mac model are you using?
• What exact optical drive type? Internal or external? Apple SuperDrive or non-Apple-branded?
