Last.fm Scrobbler Prevents dBpoweramp CD Ripper from Ripping CDs in Secure Mode

Hello All,

I am a new user to Last.fm some friends persuaded me to join so this isn't a big issue and I apologize if it's already known. The Last.fm "Scrobbler" prevents dBpoweramp CD ripper from ripping CDs using the secure ripping mode. I haven't tried it using then non-secure mode and I was about ready to have a panic attack because my discs are pristine. The discs in question are also very rare and thus very expensive...

dBpoweramp would play the audio fine and edit tracks and such but it would not rip at all every track was an automatic insecure rip within a second of clicking rip.

When I did a quick Google search of the error message "CD check frame" etc. Spoon had told the OP of another thread that other software may cause this error and the only thing new to my system was the Last.fm Scrobbler upon shutting that down dBpoweramp resumed ripping as normal and all was right with the world. I just wanted to point it may be easily fixed it may not be I would like to be able to use both applications at once but dBpoweramp takes priority (for me at least) so it's not a major issue in my opinion.

It also seem that any program with a Last.fm plugin installed for example iTunes or Spotify with also cause this error even when Last.fm itself is closed. This is slightly more annoying but I would rather loss Last.fm functionality than dBpoweramp.

Thank you very much ********* for your reply you know Last.fm might very well be trying to access the CD. I believe I saw an option to turn off CD access though so I will try that and see how that goes and report back if that is successful. Once again thank you for your time.

Denying the Last.fm Scrobbler access to the CD drive through the options menu in the Last.fm Scrobbler file menu has solved the issue thanks for your help *********.
