Namng conventions

I am a newbie and downloaded the trial ripper two days ago. I intend to purchase and currently have at least 300 CD's to rip. Can anyone tell me where I can find a primer on the procedure the ripper uses for naming and setting up folders, files etc? Need lay person terminology, please.
