Using tracks ripped as FLAC with SONOS

I've just bought a SONOS connect but when I rip tracks FLAC coded they don't appear on the SONOS controller but they do appear in "My Music" on my PC. When I rip tracks using Windows Media Player as WMA or WAV files they do appear on the SONOS controller but sometimes tracks are not ripped properly. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? Clearly the My Music folder is being shared properly but maybe I haven't det up the indexing criteria properly. HELP!!!

these are normal ripped FLACs from CDs that you haven't upsampled or anything. That is, they are ripped to FLAC as 16/44.1 files?

I share Gary's suspicion.....you may be ripping the FLAC files at too high a resolution. Ensure that you're getting 16/44.1 files (bit rate in Windows Explorer should be 1411kbps). If it's higher than that, you've likely changed a dBp encoder setting....

Also, remember to tell Sonos to "Update Music Library Now" after any changes you make. By default, Sonos re-indexes the library once a day (I don't recall the default time), and it won't see any additions or metadata changes until then then, unless it you manually force an update.
