Encoder /playing cd

Yesterday I tried the encoder I set one to flac to one hard drive on my Computer and the other to another hard disc on p.c (in lame mp3) after i put all meta input in-it just said error to all and did not rip.

Today I replaced the same cd-it remembered my data set it to just flac and one hard drive-it ripped perfect...any ideas what may have gone wring 1st time round..?


Also is it ok to play the same cd while ripping it..?

No you should not play a CD whilst ripping.

Perhaps the path was set wrong for the mp3 copy, the error message would have said exactly what the error was.
