WAV File Metadata

I have been using CD Ripper successfully ripping CD to WAV format which my media player deals with very well.

However, I recently noticed that when I transfer music to my IPhone, the Artist information was missing.

Album Artist Metadata Tag is left empty, which is what the IPhone used for Artist.

Is there a way to fix this?

iTunes does not read wave tags, convert the files to AIFF and it will read the tags.
