    CD folder creation after ripping

    Hello,

Being a very new user of DBpoweramp for CD ripping.... I have one question.

I can rip CD quite easily, I am choosing ALAC or AICC format at the moment.

I have configurated the Folder from Windows receiving the file of each song...but all CDs comes mixed into the general folder...there is no creation of One Folder per CD...

    Is it normal?

    Thanks for you help

    Regards

no, not normal. You must not have set dynamic naming correctly. In lower left corner of ripping screen, look at the naming row, then click on set to modify to suit you. I use the following code to put things in "artist/album/tracks..." or "compilations/albums/tracks" file and directory locations. You can copy and paste into the naming location (click "set" to get to the page). Don't forget the "[]" at the very end of this.

    [IFCOMP]Compilations\[album] [IFMULTI] \Disc [disc][]\[track]-[title]-[artist][][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[artist][]\[album][IFMULTI] \Disc [disc][]\[track]-[title][]

For already ripped files yes, how many discs did you rip?

If the metadata tags are correctly filled in, can't he use the [Arrange Audio] DSP to move everything into proper ARTIST/ALBUM subfolders? If not, he can use mp3tag and the menu item CONVERT, tag to filename to automatically reorganize everything into new subdirectories, e.g., the format string would be:

            .\%artist%\%album%\$num(%track%,2) - %title%

p.s. You actually didn't actually look at what dbpa was doing with your rips until after 50 CDs ripped??????
