    Ripper suggested configuration settings conflict

Dbpoweramp's suggested configuration settings for ultra secure ripping and re-reading bad frames differ between the 'Ripper Setup Guide' and the 'CD Ripper: Advanced Options' pages on the website. What is optimal? Also, how does one know whether a drive supports C2 well or poorly? Using an OEM TSSTcorp DVD+-RW SH-216AB drive. Would like to get this right the first time. Thanks!

dBpoweramp CD Ripper Setup Guide (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/cd-ripper-setup-guide.htm)

    Ultra Secure Settings:
    >If your drive supports C2 pointers, set as Minimum Ultra Passes: 1 Maximum Ultra Passes: 2 End After Clean Passes: 1
    >If your drive does not support C2 pointers, set as Minimum Ultra Passes: 2 Maximum Ultra Passes: 4 End After Clean Passes: 2

    Individual Bad Frames Settings:
    >With C2 pointer support this can be set to a higher number, such as 60. Without C2 support it is not recommended that this value be increased.

    CD Ripper: Advanced Options (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/help/dmc/CDadvanced.htm)

    Ultra Secure Settings:
    >Drive Supports c2 error pointers well enable Ultra Secure with Minimum 1, Maximum 6 and End after 1.
    >Drive Supports c2, but badly enable Ultra Secure with Minimum 2, Maximum 6 and End after 2.
    >Drive does not support c2 enable Ultra Secure with Minimum 3, Maximum 6 and End after 2.

    Individual Bad Frames Settings:
    >If your drive supports c2 pointers well and for maximum recovery set to a high number such as 700. Without good c2 support (or no c2) 50 has to be the maximum (otherwise the chance of getting matching errors is high).

Re: Ripper suggested configuration settings conflict

They are both good, however the Setup guide was written later, so is perhaps more relevant.
