DB Poweramp Upgrade

I upgraded to the latest DBPA. I now have two directories, 1) C:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\ & 2) C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp\

Is the new DBPA 64 bit?

How do I complete migrating from the old DBPA to the new and get rid of the old? Also, how do I get Batch Ripper to work with the new DBPA?

I've got batch ripper working.

I see that the apps ARE now 64 bit.

Is there a "how to" guide for migrating and making sure I have the latest codecs etc? Also, what is the best way to remove the 32 bit versions of the older software?

The best way is to simply delete the

C:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\

folder, then there can be no 32 bit programs left.

That is pretty easy. Should I try to uninstall first?

It seems that my ripping profiles have migrated. Will everything else be migrated?

Is there an easy way to get the latest codecs?

This is what I have installed:


There are a lot of codecs and encoders from '11 and '12. Do I need to be concerned about them being in the x86 program files directory?

It is too late to uninstall if you have installed the newer version. Visit codec central above to get any codecs you need.

Thanks. Have deleted directory and links in start menu. Installed newer version of my codecs.

All is in good order now.

(I was kind of lackadaisical when I upgraded on a whim and not really paying attention.)
