I just installed CD Ripper on my Windows 7 system today and I tried to rip a CD, first to FLAC and then to mp3. On both occasions the resulting ripped files are less than 100kb each. I tried ripping a different cd using my portable dvd writer instead - same result :( What could I be doing wrong? Is there some setting that is off? Please help.

Re: CD Ripper files not ripping complete files
Try ripping to wave as a test and make sure no DSP effects are being used (on DSP tab). -
Re: CD Ripper files not ripping complete files
Try CD Ripper >> Options >> Communication
set this to Windows InternalComment

Re: CD Ripper files not ripping complete files
Just ran into that problem yesterday. 15.2 beta ptoduces strange results with flac encoder. Using an external Samsung drive on my iMac generates faulty very small files, using the internal drive gives proper results. Reverted back to 15.1, everything is fine again with both drives. Please see attachment for details.Attached FilesComment

Re: CD Ripper files not ripping complete files
R15.2 beta issues please post to the beta thread.
Danellon open dBpoweramp configuration, on the music converter tab enable debug option. Start cd ripper, rip one cd, then close ripper and post log here please.Comment

Run this:
...also how to do a full reset of dBpoweramp? (if dBpoweramp crashes for some reason) Where does dBpoweramp save its files / settings? It is installed to c:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp or c:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp The 64 bit version of dBpoweramp is installed to: c:\Program Files\dBpoweramp It
To clear the settings, then reinstall, and try ripping a CD with the default settings (do not change anything).Comment

Re: CD Ripper files not ripping complete files
I followed the clearing and re-install instructions as indicated in the link, but I got the same result.
However, upon trying to perform a 2nd cd rip, I realized what the problem was. I have Comodo Antivirus/Defense+ installed and apparently it was placing the dBpoweramp CoreConverter in "isolation". I therefore changed the Comodo settings to recognize Illustrate as a trusted program publisher and voila, I'm now able to rip my cd's!
Nevertheless thanks for the assistance Spoon and mrsponsi!
Now I have some serious ripping to do...Comment
