:thumbdownNot too happy again as I have been trying to FLAC the new Stevie Nicks CD and the prog cannot find any data about the CD on any of the supplied databases, nor is it, apparently, in Accuraterip. iTunes had no such problem, just straight in. Is there something wrong with my fully registered copy of your prog or am I doing something wrong?:thumbdown

Re: 14.4 Reference cannot find ANY metadata in ANY database for this CD
CDs don't make it into the AR database until about a month after submissions are made. So with a brand new CD, it is unlikely to be in AR database (yet). One can use PerfectTunes later on to recheck these for AR matches. Also, with VERY new CDs, I occasionally find that metadata hasn't populated yet in any of the metaddata databases used by dbpa. iTunes uses Gracenote, which refuses to license to dbpa for some reason. -

Thank you Garym. Much appreciated. I thought that this might be what it was although I am still surprised but I understand. (I'm going through a frustrating old time with my db at the mo and this was just the latest!! All little things.)Comment

Re: 14.4 Reference cannot find ANY metadata in ANY database for this CD
I've ripped about 5,000 CDs with dbpa and find it to be the best at what it does. I have occasional issues, but most are resolved quickly and are typically not a problem with the software (but instead a problem with my hardware, a HDD, a cd drive, my network, etc.). The good news is that one can usually get fast help at this forum to answer questions and resolve problems.Comment
