Afternoon All,
Facets of these questions have been asked repeatedly, but I can't seem to get the gist of most of the answers given. I got myself small footprint PC running windows 7 to use exclusively as a music server and media streaming Head Rig. Purchased JRiver 20 for playback and dbpoweramp for ripping. Purchased full versions of both. Installed both on F:\ USB hard drive (1 TB).
PC (with universal drive)==>
USB HD==>
DAC==>
Headphones
Once installed, I ripped Robert Palmer CD. All the metadata came up and album art was available. Ripped perfectly. Second disc Carmen Burana has almost 20 tacks. All the metadata came up, multiple to choose from, but i got ripping errors on the last 5 or 6 tracks. After that, no metadata for the next 3 CDs (all commercial non-obscure stuff) and all tracks have ripping errors. When I run JRiver nothing shows in the library. What am I doing wrong? is it because the software is not installed on the root drive? I'm open to instruction, but kinda ticked that it's not a little smoother than this.
Thanks in advance,
B
