Hello:
I recently purchased a Buffalo “MediaStation” 16x External BDXL Blu-Ray burner (~$160). I was hoping it would help solve the problem outlined in my earlier thread (“Confusing Problem with Version 15.1 …”). It didn't, but I have a different question on which I would greatly appreciate feedback.
The Buffalo MediaStation is USB 3.0 compatible and its specs claim CD read/write speeds of 48x. But using dBpoweramp, the ripping speed seems to be limited to 15x. This is much slower than my on-board CD-ROM writer (now more than 2 years old). I have ripped several CDs on the Buffalo MediaStaion and they all seem to top out at exactly the same spot – 15x.
Any ideas on how I can get faster rips?
I am on Windows 7. Thanks.
Dave
