Multi Encoder DSP (global tab or for each encoder?)

This is something I've always wondered but have never bothered to inquire about.

If I use Multi Encoder, when I select DSP effects (in this case playlist writer and meta Replay Gain), should I be adding those DSPs whilst using multi encoder via the multi encoder DSP tab or show I drive into the encoder itself and add the DSP there? Does it even make a difference on how it's done?

If it has to be done for all encoders do on the global tab, as it will be faster (otherwise the effect runs for each encoder separately)
