    Strange issue with Key2Audio protection

    Hello,

I have run into a weird issue. I have a Cd Bomfunk MC's Burnin' Sneakers with key2audio protection. For some reason, dBpoweramp doesn't recognize properly the last track while EAC does it with no problem. My clue to that was the track length. dBpoweramp shows the track length double to what it needs to be. I have attached two screenshots to explain my situation better. The physical condition of CD is VG. There are a few scratches, however, I managed to rip (with AccurateRip status) CDs with a much worse condition. My drive is Asus SDRW-08D2S-U. Would you have any ideas to why the behavior is such? Extra note, using CloneCD I can create img of my audio cd which I then mount into Daemon tools, then open it (virtual cd rom) with dBpoweramp. In that situation, last track is recognized with correct length however AccurateRip signatures don't match at all (understandable). Also, CloneCD reports there are 2 sessions on this CD. Last bit is for some reason I can play this CD via PC without breaking protection. For some reason, I can directly load CD into CDrom and play it directly via foobar2000. Typically, key2audio doesn't permit that.

This is the error I get with dBpoweramp when trying to rip this cd.
Unable to read CD, check CD disc (frame LBA 207544 ripping 26 frames track end LBA 218965) [clRipperSecure::Rip]

I have managed to rip CD using the following:

        > Put cd in cd rom drive
        > Open CD Rip and set ripping mode to 'Defective by design'
        > Put checkbox 'Force first TOC session'
        > Click Fefresh
        > The length of the last track is correct now
        > Set ripping method to 'Secure'
        > Ripped all tracks
        > All tracks are Accurate with confidence of 1
        > Last track is secure but not present in AccurateRip db

Does it mean that there is 50/50 chance that my rip is correct ?

This is log for the last track

        Information ripping to FLAC, 'Track 12' to '...\Bomfunk MC's\Burnin' Sneakers\12 Bomfunk MC's - Steady Rockin'.flac'
        Track 12: Ripped LBA 190020 to 207565 (3:53) in 0:50. Filename: ...\Bomfunk MC's\Burnin' Sneakers\12 Bomfunk MC's - Steady Rockin'.flac
        Secure [Pass 1, Ultra 1 to 3]
        CRC32: 1C46C512 AccurateRip CRC: 8298059C (CRCv2) [DiscID: 012-0011c623-00995bc4-fffffb0e-12]

What can I do to ensure rip really was secure ?

Correct, there is no real way to know who has the error.
