Naming convention screws up Various Artist rips

I had a similar buyt even tougher go of ripping my Mixed CD's in JRiver so I changed to DBPoweramp CD Ripper which I like much better. However this naming convention does all other CD's correctly as to my preference except Mixed, which puts a folder for each individual artist within the CD Title folder. It's much better than before I figured out that it was putting individual artist folders everywhere else.... That sucked!!

I would prefer to NOT have to change the convention for each differing type of CD. Is this possible?

    [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][] [FLAC]\[artist] [year] - [album]\[track] - [artist] - [title]

All I want is the get the following regardless of what kind of CD it is.

    DRIVE\ARTIST [FLAC]\ALBUM ARTIST YEAR - ALBUM TITLE\SONG * ARTIST - SONG NAME.flac

Why have you got artist listed twice? for 2 folders? Your naming is:

[album artist] or [artist] or 'Various Artists'\artist year album\track - artist - title

    Try dropping the 2nd artist:

    [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][] [FLAC]\[year] - [album]\[track] - [artist] - [title]

That didn't change what I'm after. In fact I want the ARTIST tag in that location in case I drag these onto my phone or other USB storage by album only otherwise there is no indication of what artist's album I'm looking at.

What I ended up with again is 20 separate sub-folders in the VARIOUS folder each with only 1 song in them.

Did you check, that the compilation flag has been set?

You need to set an Album Artist, or check Compilation.

"COMPILATION" is always auto-checked on VARIOUS Artist discs. If it's not then it does an even worse action - It puts individual artist folders containing a single song in the root folder.

              What's your PATH set to?

Also, never trust that the COMPILATION flag is accurately set....always check prior to ripping that it's appropriately checked or not.

Oh, never mind that....I see the problem:

              [IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][] [FLAC]\[artist] [year] - [album]\[track] - [artist] - [title]

This string has three folder levels......so your compilations are getting this structure:

              VARIOUS ARTISTS [FLAC]\ARTIST YEAR - ALBUM\filename

You need to eliminate that middle folder. That's the one that's creating a separate folder for each artist.
