I uninstalled McAfee Security Scan Plus and McAfee SiteAdvisor, restarted the PC and re-ripped Paul Simon's "Graceland" but again "Not in AccurateRip" database.

Re: Rip Status " Not in AccurateRip" database

Quit CD ripper, then in windows file explorer type:

      %appdata%\Accuraterip

In the accuraterip folder delete the items:

      AccurateRipCache [folder]
      AccurateRipUpload.bin
      DiscTOC.bin
      FingerPrints.bin
      MyOffsetsConfig.bin

Then start CD ripper, look in the AccurateRip cache folder (which will be recreated), are any files put in there?

Insert a bunch of popular CDs, also check that the file:

          accuraterip.dll

exists in the dbpoweramp install folder.

accuraterip.dll is in the dbpoweramp program folder.

I have ripped 6 "popular" CDs with the same result "Not in AccurateRip"

I am certain something is blocking the access, as to what I cannot be sure, you say internet metadata is being returned? clear the cache:

              close CD Ripper
browse to %appdata%\dbpoweramp and delete CDRipperCache.bin

then restart CD Ripper and see if metadata is collected from the internet.

I deleted CDRipperCache.bin, restarted CDRipper and metadata was collected for the CD I inserted.

Re: Rip Status " Not in AccurateRip" database

                  Try this:

...also how to do a full reset of dBpoweramp? (if dBpoweramp crashes for some reason) Where does dBpoweramp save its files / settings? It is installed to c:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp or c:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp The 64 bit version of dBpoweramp is installed to: c:\Program Files\dBpoweramp It

To clear the program then the settings (run as administrator, then run again as non-admin)

Then reinstall and try using the default settings.

Carried out above instructions and re-installed dbpoweramp. Ripped the earlier 6 CDs without any problem. All were AccurateRip's.

                    Many thanks.

Is there anything else I should note in the setting-up or operation of the program?

Yes all seems to be working OK. Re-ripped the previous CDs without errors. Many thanks.

Is there anything else I should note about the ripping process?

You can reapply your settings, if you notice AccurateRip stops working then it should narrow which option disabled it.
