Re-rip From Previous Version to Latest Version

Is there any advantage to re-ripping CD from a previous version of Ripper to the latest version?

as noted, none if original rips were lossless (flac, wav, alac, etc.). Not very useful either, but if one simply wants their FLAC files to be created by the latest FLAC codec version, you would simply convert the old FLAC files to FLAC with the newer FLAC codec. This is lossless to lossless so OK, so this conversion of FLAC to FLAC can be done as often as one wants. I personally wouldn't do this but some people are OCD and, for example, want all their FLAC files to show up as being created by a certain FLAC Codec version (1.3.0), etc.
