CD Ripper not picking up Audio CDs

I am a registered owner of dbPoweramp and have version R15 installed.

My CD Ripper program is not picking up CDs that have been inserted into my drive. On insertion, the CD Ripper will attempt to read the CD but always returns that nothing is there. This is despite the fact that the CD can be picked up by other programs (e.g. Windows Media Player). If I change the Communication option to Windows Internal it is able to pick up the CD, but as I cannot get MetaData this way it is not ideal and I would prefer the program to have full functionality with the original SPT method - if I change back to it, the program will not read the CD again. I have been able to use dbPoweramp 14 without issues previously, but I have observed this problem with both R14 and R15 versions. Any advice you could give to let the program detect CDs again will be much appreciated.

It sounds like something is limiting dBpoweramp, perhaps security software (SPT should have access to the drive) and any access method should return metadata.

Try right clicking on CD Ripper and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Thank you very much for the prompt response.

This seems to have worked - I have now been able to rip several CDs as normal. This appears to have solved the problem, thank you very much for your help.
