Try updating your software to R14.4

Hi

I've updated to v14.4 but the problem has got worse. Just tried ripping another CD and rips barely reach 20% before "completing". No encoding progress showing at all and although all tracks stated to be ripped accurately on log there are no files at all.

Have you heard of this behaviour before ?

Which settings do you have for secure, such as any abort options? If you rip with Burst does it write those files?

Secure settings are:

Pass 1

Accurate Rip Verified

Pass 2

Limit Drive Speed (Maximum)

Ultra Secure (not enabled)

Individual Bad Frames

Max. Re-Reads 34 times

Set Drive Speed (Maximum)

Drive Read Cache 1024 KB

Secure Rip Abort

After Unrecoverable Frames (no abort)

When Have to Re-Rip (no abort)

After Ripping a Track For (no abort)

I've tried using Burst mode but rips still "complete" after 4 or 5 seconds and no file is created. I've also tried reducing the speed in secure mode from max (40X) to 10X and still have the same issue. Finally I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program but this hasn't solved it either. Am running Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit using a HP DVD-RAM GH80N DVD drive.

Which DSP effects are you using?

I'm using some ID Tagging DSP effects as follows

Rule Based Manipulation:

IF Track=[anyvalue]
SET Title=[Track] - [Title]
SET Mood = CD

And Mapping

Mood to Format

The mapping DSP doesn't seem to work so I'll delete it and see if that solves the issue.

Close CD Ripper, open dBpoweramp Configuration, enable the debugging option, then start CD ripper, rip that one track, close CD Ripper and post the results from the debug log here please (it will show in notepad).

I've resolved the problem which was with the DSP settings. My tag mapping setting must have set up a conflict as I'd mapped the "Mood" tag to a non-existent "Format" tag (which is how I've set up the tag to show in mp3tag) but I also added the same tag field on the DSP "Additions" tab. Deleting the mapping and additions rules sorted the problem and I've managed to get my new default "Mood" tag by adding it to the Additions tab with the set value of CD.
