MAXLENGTH issue

In CDRipper I set:

Path = F:\RIP\ (contains 7 characters)

Naming = [MAXLENGTH]249,[title][] (Title contains 264 characters)

I am expecting the output pathname to be 256 (249+7) characters in length. In fact, I'm getting 259.

MAXLENGTH does not seem to shorten to 249 characters.

Please advise.

.flac also is part of the filename length

So my desired pathname length = Path + Naming (Maxlength) + Filename Extension?
