    CDs not recognised

I have been ripping my CD collection to a QNAP NasDrive and most CDs have copied without problems. However certain CDs - Led Zeppelin, The Eagles and Catatonia - are simply not recognised by the drive - insert audio CD stays on. The same drive will play the CDs through the PC. It therefore looks to be something that links with the rip program. Any suggestions?

Perhaps these cds have copy protection?

      Spoon,
I am ripping over 900 cd's and have ripped about 675 to date and of that about 40 cd's will not rip. They seem to start the first track and then go into a "frames" process that takes for ever and then in most cases just comes up as an error. As far as I know none of the cd's in qustion have copy right although even the ones in my collection that state they are copy protected were zipped fine.

Most in now all of the 40 cd's have only been played one or twice and have no scratches whatsoever.

What does your knowledge and expertise recommend?

If you have c2 pointers enabled, then disable.
