Track 1 audio missing when music is less than 30 seconds long

I am new to the CD Ripper program (today) and have set up the program according to the suggested guidelines.
Have ripped 50 CD's so far only two have a problem - the same problem.

So far on two CD rips that have a first track of less than 30 seconds it correctly shows the track numbers and metadata when ripping it.
    Rips with no errors.
However in the FLAC and MP3 files the track number 1 is missing, the metadata for track 1 is missing and the audio is missing.

    What could be the problem?

    Thanks,

    Nostrildamas.

Try ripping again and watch the folder whilst ripping. I take it you are using multi-encoder?

      Yes multi-encoder FLAC 5 with MP3 190

I'll also found another similarity between the two problem rips, the first track that is not being ripped from each CD has another full length track appearing later on the CD with the same name.

I believe a solution to the the problem may be selecting a different source from the metadata default selection, one that names the duplicate track names differently.

Also also I made a change and included the track number as one on the values for the encoder settings.

It appears the problem has to do with duplicate track names not the track length.
Whether in the same CD rip or a any subsequent one if the track name is duplicated it removes the previous one with the same track name in an effort to remove/avoid duplicates.

So it seems a solution is to add track number to the encoder settings to make it unique.

As long as the same track name and the same track number do not happen subsequently this should work.

          Any better suggestion?

Track number is needed for situations like this, it is included in the default naming string.

Looks like adding the album name to the encoder info will solve the problem by making the track name more unique thus eliminating the duplicate that occurs without it.

              Is that the best approach?

You will find there are some albums which exist that have 2 tracks with the same name.
