    Accurate Rip is Not

Ok, I am a paid user, and generally a fan. I have been the process of ripping hundreds of cd's. I question the accuracy of "Accurate Rip"

Case in point: I have a NEW shrink wrapped boxed set of the the Beatles that I am ripping, pristine, mint, perfect. But it is the Japanese market version.
I am getting multiple "rip errors" (but all SECURE rips) from this set, from 2 different drives, both of which have ripped hundreds of CD's with no errors.

I don't think these rips are bad, I think the Accurate RIP database is bad. Not possible for all these to be wrong.

Not the first time I have suspected this from other cds, but really dramatic on this batch.

Losing confidence in the "Accurate Rip", don't trust it at this point.

    Sorry.

You contradict yourself. You say you are getting multiple "rip errors", but then say they're secure. Which one is it?

If your rips are secure but not accurate, my guess would be the disc(s) in question is likely not in the AccurateRip database, which is what Ultra Secure passes are for.

AccurateRip is a positive matching system, the only way for it to be wrong would be for it to do a rip you did which had errors was reported as Accurate.

If you are ripping a disc and the confidences are 4 for each track yet a few tracks are inaccurate, then your rip did not match the other 4 rips done from other people, and it is likely your rip has the errors (as only 1 or 2 of that 4 might have had ripping problems, not all 4).

Post an example ripping log please which shows the accuraterip result so I can comment on your exact rip. Remember also AccurateRip has ripped 150 million CDs and never once has it been verified that AccurateRip was wrong in 10 years...

By "rip errors", you mean inaccurate-but-secure? That is kind of unfortunate wording: it means that CDs with the same TOC have different data. If you are using an older dBpoweramp version, it couldn't do cross-pressing verification (google it - its is when the only difference is that the bitstream is moved some samples to the left or right, but contains the same audio). But even with cross-pressing verification, it could happen what you describe, if it is remastered in some way but the TOC kept.

If it is a recent release, it takes some weeks between the AccurateRip database updates.
