CD ejects prior to Rip completion

I am having problems i just installed this software and i got 2 of the 300 or so CDs i have to rip done and now the CD ejects prior to the rip being completed can anyone help me?

I have never heard of this in 15 years...does it always eject at the same place? first track, last track?

It has happened within a few seconds of putting the CD in as well as half way through.

I would have to guess it is a faulty cd drive.
