    Windows Folder and Ripped Tracks

Why won't this album show album, artist, and year?

Here are the file properties. I am using Windows Vista Ultimate.

The top one shows Date Taken which suggests the folder view is in Picture mode, not music Mode.

I removed the check mark "date taken" and it didn't make a difference. The top image is a compilation according to the ripper program when I first put in the CD. Does that make a difference in how ripper handles it? Kinda stumped here. Also when I put the CD in Ripper it shows all of the info I am wanting to see in Windows folder.

It suggests the handler for metadata (flac files) is not working as should, Vista by default does not handle tag reading for flac files, dBpoweramp adds that ability, but if you have added a 2nd extension.

I notice that, in the first case, folder.jpg is the first file, while one of the .flac files is the first file in the next example. It's been years since I used Vista, so I can't play around with this myself, but could it be that Vista presumes the folder type based on the first file? I.e., it thinks that first folder is photos and uses the display defaults for that folder type, and thinks the second folder is music (because it sees a .flac file) and uses display defaults for music?

There will be an option to show that folder as a music folder, I do not remember where it is in vista.
