    Ripping to NAS

HI, I have successfully ripped CDs to desktop music folder but unable to rip direct to my synology nas. Click SET button, select network/synologynas/music - the error message said unable to open this directory. Appreciate your advice. (I am using win8/synology nas / Linn DS player.)

Open Windows explorer, browse to the network share, then right click >> map network drive

This will map the share as a drive letter, remember to click the 'remember password' and 'reconnect at login'

Open Windows File Explorer by pressing (and holding) Windows Key + E

Then browse to the network item.

Does your NAS appear in File Explorer under Network Locations? With a drive letter assigned to your /music share?

No? Go to the Synology site and download "Synology Assistant". This should then find your NAS and guide you through the setup for windows. You need to assign a drive letter to your music share and then you can rip to that. (you might also want to map drive letter to the other shares).
