    Meta data changes not saving

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to CD Ripper and thought I had got my head around what seems to be a great piece of software enough to start ripping in anger...

...only to find that, 150 CDs in, none of my manual changes to the meta data have made it to the final rips!:vmad:

Pretty miffed considering I changed some fields on most CDs.

Am I missing something obvious? I've just been editing the fields at the top eg Artist, Album, Genre etc.

Any help would be much appreciated

    You change metadata before ripping?

Yes - it finds a PerfectMeta match, I correct a couple of fields such as the album name and album art, then I rip the cd.

When looking in the destination folder, I find that the original album name and art have been used. No sign of the changes I made...

      Thank you

Something does not sound right here...as a test insert any CD, let the metadata fetch, then change the artist name to:

        Test

then right click on the title column in CD Ripper and enable the filename column, have a look at the final filename, it should be the artist with a name of Test, not the original artist name. Then rip that CD, check the folder / filenames

Would there be any reason why the filename column would be blank, even after ripping? I didn't know you could add the columns, and the filename would be useful, but mine is blank (even after ripping).

If using multi-encoder it could be blank (at a guess).

Yes, I have multiencoder going. Bummer.

Try just encoding to one encoder without multi-encoder
