Cant rip some new CD's

[INZ]

HELP - I have ripped all my back catalog of CD's successfully however, when trying to rip new CD's, I get a "Error" message. This has happened to 3 out of the last 8 NEW CD's purchased. I have tried changing the options to "Defective by Design" but still the same "Error" message.
Any help out there.

On the error page there is a button 'copy to clipboard' click this and paste the error messages here so I can see please.

Hi Spoon. I have just got the same problem as INZ. No problems before, now each CD rips but fails to encode. Error message is:

Both the same issue....

Your NAS is no longer allowing access to save files, open Windows File Explorer, then browse to your NAS, when asked for a username and password, enter it and put a check mark in the remember the password box.

Thanks again Spoon. I am logged into my WD NAS so don't think that's the problem. When I open dbpoweramp to rip, I get a warning message "coreconverter.exe. The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)". I've seen this error code before so is the coreconverter application needed to rip and encode. Also the symbol for each track has changed to a VLC traffic cone now I have downloaded the VLC media player for all my PC media stuff, whereas before the symbol was something that looked like it had a fish on it. Is this significant?. Thanks again.

The icon is not significant.

Can you take a screen shot (upload to an image sharing site and share the link) of this 'Unable to start' page. Which version of dBpoweramp do you have?

Hi Spoony. I've tried to post twice with a link to the shared site with the screen shot on but for some reason the moderator is blocking my posts. Suppose it/he/she thinks it's a link to something bad. Is there another way I send the information - email? I have dbpoweramp V14.3

Update your software to R14.4 please, there have been many bug fixes.

Sorry, I checked again. I have 14.4.0.3 and I downloaded it on 1 Jan. The Application is now called CDGrab in my program files. I think this title has changed from the previous version - normal?

Uninstall, reboot Windows, then run a disk check on your main drive (right click on drive >> properties >> tools >> check now) and reinstall from a fresh download please, to make sure the files are correct.

Do you mean check the optical drive that reads the CD or my hard drive. Sorry for the dumb question.

Check your Hard drive, by running a disk check it ensures there are no errors on it.
