bit depth = 24

I don't know how but I've managed it but I have had the DSP bit depth set at 24 for my rips for quite some time. (can't remember ever selecting it!)

They are standard (16 bit) CDs, will this have impact on the sound or not?

Can I ignore my stupidity or do I need to do the mother of all batch conversions?

They will sound identical, however your files will take up more room. If you have ripped to lossless then convert FLAC >> FLAC with the DSP effect set to 16 bit, this will be identical to ripping from the CD.

No need for dither, because 16 >> 24 would have just added zeros, you want to just remove those zeros.

If you had proper 24 audio and wanted 16 bit, then dither would be used.
