    dbPowerAmp on a Mac

I have just installed dbowerAmp on my Mac in a Parallels partition. I am having trouble getting the application to read CDs as the default drive as showing as a virtual which cannot be accessed.

There also seems to be a conflict with iTunes (surprise, surprise!!), does anybody know how to configure the Mac to allow this to work??

    Thanks

After some messing around I can now get the application to see the disk and display the track list and artwork, but when I try to rip it I get this error message on every track:

Error ripping to FLAC, 'Track 1' to '\\psf\Home\Music\dbPowerAmp\Traveling Wilburys, The\The Traveling Wilburys Collection\01 Traveling Wilburys, The - She's My Baby.flac'
Unable to read CD, check CD disc (frame LBA 0 ripping 26 frames track end LBA 14625) [clRipperSecure::Rip]

I have tried several disks all with the same result, getting very p****d off now!!

There is an option in Parallels to pass the CD drive not as a virtual drive, but as the real drive, you need this enabled to rip CDs.

Thanks, but I've done this and it can now read the track list but the rip fails?

Try setting the ripping method to Burst.

If this does not work, change the option:

          Communication

to 'Windows Built-in', both in CD Ripper >> Options

Thanks, this has done the trick. It was the communication option
