newbie can't obtain track info (tags?)

Hi all. I've just used dbpoweramp for the first time. I ripped some cds my wife made of her favourite music. I was expecting that info re: artist, song title etc would be shown. Nope. I am using a trial version which is supposed to have all the features. What am I doing wrong?

Are you ripping CDs that are actual albums or are they homemade "mix" CDs made from various albums. dbpa metadata will find info for actual albums, but it can't do this for "mix" CDs full of random songs.

unless you wrote "CD TEXT" with the track info when those mix CDs were created.
