    Ripping Chinese and Japanese CD

    Hi,

I am using dbpower amp to rip CD and having hundreds of Chinese and Japanese CD. I see the Character on the title but when I open the wav and Flac file with Jriver media center 19, I see it as ???????.

Is DB power amp able to write the characters into ID tags ? Please advise, thanks.

it is shown as ?????? in JRiver but DB power amp showing it right. I was told that it could be writing ID tags incorrectly .

Actually when I go to the NAS directory, it shows the Chinese and Japanese character but not on the ID tags. Hopefully, I dont need to copy and paste one by one.

The tags are correct, dBpoweramp is used by millions of users and we have never written the tags wrong (in 15 years). Your NAS is serving to the JRiver by upnp? if this is so then the fault is with your UPnP server on the NAS.

I check the NAS connection to Jriver, it is using DLNA. One thing is weird, see the file directory showing in Chinese in NAS but not the title. You are right, DB power amp is writing the tags filename correctly but not the title. I am puzzled, post this issue to JRiver, they are suspicious the ripping software is not writing ID3V2 correctly.
