OK how can I fix it? I uninstalled and reinstalled dBPowerAmp but nothing.

The windows registry is part of the operating system, if it is no longer working as it should, your windows has serious problems.

I know this is late, but as the OP I would like to state that I also use jv16 Powertools. This issue still exists. If you clean the registry, forget about using dbpoweramp. dbpoweramp is the only program that I have that no longer works after cleaning the registry.

I removed the software right away and no longer use it. However, I did install the 'lite' version and, ran on the safest cleaning mode, it does not appear to cause issues any longer.
