    Ripping gapless

How do I know when I've ripped a CD using the "Audio CD - Remove Gaps" DSP? I've attempted this using Abbey road as my test case, but the software I use to play back still puts in gaps between tracks in the "medley".

I've set the DSP in the relevant tab when I set my rip configuration ; do I have to do more?

    Re: Ripping gapless

All CD ripping software rips CDs gaplessly, there is no need for even the DSP effect to remove the gap as a true gapless CD has no gaps to remove.

That leaves your player, if you hear gaps then your player is not gapless, try a player such as Foobar2000 to hear gapless playback.

Thanks for that. Just a question: Why is the DSP effect there?

On non gapless CDs there is a 2 second silence between audio tracks, some people might not want that.
