    AccurateRip configuration issue

    Hi,

I am trying to configure AccurateRip on my new system (MacBook Air, OS X 10.8.4, Apple USB SuperDrive, WMWare Fusion 5.0.3 and Win 7 HP). After every CD I get the message :

This Key Disc cannot be used for offset detection it does not match the AccurateRip stored disc, or your drive does not exist in AccurateRip and this disc has multiple pressings stored. Please try a different Key Disc.

I have checked the list of Key Discs and tried 13 Discs. Then I have realized that my system displays

NECVMWar VMware IDE CDR00 ATA Device

    as the CD drive.

Do I have a chance to configure AccurateRip and if yes how?

    Thanks in advance.

      Thanks for the reply.

That means I don't need to rip the CDs but eject and insert the next CD until it at some time the application says the configuration is done, or should I rip all the CDs ?

        No need to rip.

I am still confused. I get the same message about AccurateRip needing 3 discs to properly configure itself with an OK button in the same window. When I feed it a new disc without pressing OK nothing happens. When I press OK and feed it a new disc the whole process starts all over again. So what gives?

Keep trying. It might need to go through 10 to 20 discs before it finds 3 that work for setup. Use mainstream popular discs for better luck.

Ok but what do I do? Like I said earlier, if I press ok when it tells me it needs more discs the whole thing starts afresh, and when I do nothing, nothing happens when I insert a new disc. Moreover, when I do feed it three discs that have the right offset it keeps on asking for more.

After you insert a disc and click ok it will inform how that disc went, it will say the disc cannot be used, or that the offset was +-XX and 3 more matching discs are required.

Keep feeding CDs and it will configure when you have 3 matching offsets from discs which can be used.

Spoon, but that is precisely the problem I have been talking about all along. When I feed it a new disc WITHOUT pressing OK absolutely NOTHING happens. When I do click OK, and feed it discs that had previously been considered OK, the whole process starts afresh and it acts as if this is the first ok disc I ever entered and asks for three more. In other words, I am stuck in a loop.

It will probably say "this disc cannot be used...."?

No, it will read the offset correctly and then ask me to insert three more. When I insert another one that had previously been declared to be good, it reads it correctly and asks me again to insert 3 more discs, etc, etc.

Are you using dBpoweramp or EAC? if you look in %appdata%\AccurateRip

                        are values being stored?
