I'm currently ripping an audio CD on which all tracks except one are secure. I've tried cleaning the CD several times (very carefully) and this has led to the observation that on three different secure rip attempts, each time I got a different number of frames that needed to be re-ripped: 2,500 on first attempt, 980 on second attempt, and 5,400 on third attempt. My question is whether this indicates that my drive may be faulty as it is giving such varying readings on the same track. Or could there be some other reason?
I run Windows 7 64 Home Premium, dBpoweramp 14.2 Registered Reference, PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-216 ATA.
