    Flac 24 bits 96 Khz

    Hi from France

Why can I do not be able to encode into 24 bits 96 kHz with R15 version?
I think Falc 1.3.0 well does it.

    Thanks

You can but there is no point, a CD is 16 bit 44 KHz. You can add the DSP effects 'Bit Depth' and 'Resample' to increase these values, but you do not get any more quality (only take up more hdd space).

Actually you mention R15 (which is in beta test), if you have the 64 bit version, there are no DSP effects released to beta test yet.

For an audio recording to be 24 bits it has to be sourced from 24 bits or higher, if sourcing from CD then you cannot create the extra 8 bits.
