Now that I'm looking again at that screen, the "output location" is also grayed for me. I think that part is not relevant for the ARRANGE AUDIO conversion. But what do you have in the "Root Path" just above the "Arrangement" row. And provide us an example of the exact location (parent folder, sub folder, etc.) and file name of a file you want to change and what you want the Folder/subfolder/name to look like when you're done. That will help, as so far it is unclear what you want the directory structure to be other than "same as it was".

              Thank you,

Yes, the output location is also greyed out for you as well, ok.

here is what the directory structure looks like:

              c:\wave music
              c:\wave music\allman brothers band

Their are hundreds of folders specific to the artist, with subfolders for the albums, with another folder with the music tracks.

I can upload a small screen capture video of what is occuring, but how would I upload it?

              Thx,
              Charlie

                so, you'd have

                c:\wave music\allman brothers band
                c:\wave music\allman brothers band\Live at Fillmore East\...all the tracks
                c:\wave music\allman brothers band\Brothers and Sisters\....all the tracks
                etc.

OK. I'll play with that structure tomorrow and come up with a string to try for you.

If you want to post a picture here you have to host it somewhere. Easiest thing to do is create a free dropbox account. Put the picture in the "public" folder. Then you right click the picture and select "create dropbox link". Then come here and post that link in your message. Putting the link here only allows people to see that particular file. Not your dropbox contents, or your username, or anything. just the file.

This works for me with your structure

                              root path: c:\
                              (note I've used c:\ not c:\music)
                              arrangement: [origpath]\[track][artist][album][title]
(note the "\" between [origpath] and [track] which you didn't show in your earlier example of doing this approach)

tick the boxes for "overwrite existing", "arrange external album art" and "remove empty source folders"
then click convert. This should leave you with the directory organization you want with the file names you want, and also moves the folder.jpg along with the album files.

ronniedog, did you try the settings I suggested earlier that should do exactly what you want (note it corrects some errors in the string that you posted earlier, which is why your attempts didn't do what you were wanting):

                                root path: c:\
                                (note I've used c:\ not c:\music or c:\wav music)
                                arrangement: [origpath]\[track][artist][album][title]
(note the "\" between [origpath] and [track] which you didn't show in your earlier example of doing this approach)

tick the boxes for "overwrite existing", "arrange external album art" and "remove empty source folders"
then click convert. This should leave you with the directory organization you want with the file names you want, and also moves the folder.jpg along with the album files.
