Advantage of different transports, if any

I am just getting into this, so forgive if this is a repeat question.

For best audiophile ripping, is there any advantage to a more expensive digital transport, using the digital output of the transport, compared with the transport that comes with the computers. If not, is there a good and less good computer housed transport?

All transports give 100% identical rips on undamaged discs, if AccurateRip verifies the rip then it is 100% error free.

Different quality drives have different abilities to recover from errors, sometimes it is the cheaper drives which outperform the more expensive drives.
