Unsupported format?

I'm ripping in flac format to a NAS drive and playing from that through a Sonos system.
I've ripped hundreds of cds and I have one (there may be more; I haven't tried to play them all yet!) that throws up numerous errors during ripping (sometimes saying "error initializing flac)and causes Sonos not to play it, citing an unsupported format. I haven't yet seen this problem with any other cd rip.
Please can anyone offer any help?

Thanks for taking a look at this.
Here's the result of the latest attempt to rip this cd. Even though it looks as if some of the tracks have ripped successfully Sonos still says that what it can see is in an unsupported format. I only rip in flac, and this the only rip, so far, in which I've found this problem.

All the tracks show on the NAS drive, Sonos can see them all except track 9, but it won't play any of them.

More info! I've just tried to rip a new cd and it appears to rip normally, but again Sonos won't play it, saying it's in an unsupported format. Help!

It is likely the error is between the NAS and computer, you are best to rip to your Music folder on your PC then once the album is done, move the album to the NAS.

Thanks for the suggestion. It produced an error-free rip (and much faster, too!), but Sonos still says it's in an unsupported format and won't play it. Perhaps the fault lies in Sonos. Guess I'll have to try them for some help now!

I think I've got to the bottom of it Spoon. All the problems have been with HDCDs, which I've been ripping keeping the higher resolution of the HDCD. Apparently Sonos can't play 24 bit files at present, which would certainly account for the issue. I also have a Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6 which plays these higher resolution rips fine, so there doesn't appear to be a problem with the ripping software after all.

Yup, that's it. Sonos currently streams a maximum average bitrate of 1411kbps for lossless audio formats.
