CD Ripper Apple Lossless songs with partial sound or no sound at all on music tracks

Just started using the free version of dbpoweramp cd ripper. I am using the apple lossless codec. Specifically ripping Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings OST 3CD set. Last song not able to rip on these cds. I think this is a enhanced issue cd so I understand that not ripping. But some of the songs on the cds play normal after ripping and then go completely silent 1/3 or 2/3 the way through the song. I checked to make sure this wasnt due to quiet passages in the songs against the actual cd. Even restarted and double checked because my soundcard has a tendency to have artifacts in the sound after too much use. I even went back and used itunes to create the same apple lossless files with no sound issues. I have checked additional ripped music from dbpoweramp and I am finding issues in tracks on other albums besides the ones mentioned. Any ideas?

As a test try ripping to AIFF and play those problem files.
