Recommended Slimline Bluray drive for audio CD ripping

Hi,

I'm not satisfied with my Optiarc drive and I would like to replaced it with a better Bluray drive.

The options are:

• Panasonic UJ-265
• Samsung SN-506BB/BEBE

How good are these drives? Should I buy one of these drives or is a different drive more recommended?

There are not many slim line drives you can actually buy now....

I would go for the cheapest of the 2 that you mention.

In this case it's probably better to get an external drive. Any recommendations there?

If you go eSata, you can use any 5.25" SATA drive (do not even need an enclosure, just a power brick for SATA).
