I night be posting in the wrong area, if so feel free to move this but I have a question of sorts. Before I started using dbpoweramp this would have never come up. When ripping my cd I have a few that have lost/damaged cases and as such, have a number of scratches on them. When using secure ripping dbpoweramp shows the number of frames (per track) that have errors on them, then it tries, sometime successfully and sometimes not, to repair and then write the file. I have a few tracks on a few discs that report 100's of bad frames, the worst being over 300. Here is the thing that confuses me, only one of those skips when listened to on my cd player (and it is so bad I can't listen to it), but even with 50-150 errors I can listen to the track and not hear anything! It sounds fine to me. Are we being over picky about our audio or am I just not paying enough attention to notice the audio glitches present in those bad tracks. Other than skipping, what else can be affected by the types of errors that secure ripping uncovers. Ultimately what I am wondering is if I need to toss these cd's and replace them or just listen, errors and all, and be happy!

Re: Question about Secure Ripping
Some errors detected on disks are not audible, so it is not a serious problem unless you're simply not happy knowing that there is an error (even though you can't hear it). I have about 10,000 CDs and a few have errors that are not audible. I just listen to them and don't worry about it.Comment
