What is the difference between Accuraterip (ripping to FLAC) as opposed to a program called EAC creating an exact audio copy?

AccurateRip is a database for checksums of tracks, and a functionality to identify tracks, look up this checksum (if somebody has submitted it) and verifying that it matches (if it does).
EAC, and dBpoweramp, are software applications for digital audio extraction from music CDs. Both of them support the AccurateRip functionality. (dBpoweramp, that's the forum you are at now: Spoon is developer of both this application and the AR database.)
